The First Day of Kindergarten in K29 was a huge success! The first thing the kids see when they enter the classroom is this table full of presents! I buy 25 identical presents from the 99 cent store and wrap them up. Some years it's a coloring book, sometime a puzzle, whatever the 99 cent store has 25 of... Then I wrap up a bunch of classroom stuff for the kids to open like new! The ipad boxes, the markers, the games...
Then we do our first ABC grid, most kids do not finish and that is just fine. I just want to take a look at their letter strokes, pencil grip and stamina.

Then we draw a self portrait.
Tomorrow we will do our name mosaics!
here is the list of classroom rules the kids came up with:
zoe - no running in the classroom
matthew - no making mean names for friends
emi - no saying bad words!
harper -no not listening to the teacher
jake - no kicking people or slapping
asa - no punching people and no eating like a pig
shayl - no hands touching other people
allegra - no hitting
joshua - no eating while running
jack - help others
owen - don't touch stuff you are not supposed to touch
gidget - don't make mean compliments
alix - wash your hands after you go bathroom
jonah - first time listening
ruby - no yelling
skyler - no toys at school
charlie - sit on the rug cris cross apple sauce
ben - no taking toys home from class
flynn - no jewelry to school
richard - ask to use the bathroom before you go
navid - do not make a mess!
jake the snake - no feet on the couch
